The 5 secrets to overcoming limitations. In this article we will be exploring these five points, to gain awareness on how we can stop limiting ourselves and better understand how to overcome limitations.


1. Evaluate what limitations have you placed on yourself.

2. Explore how you overcame past limitations.

3. What did you learn from them?

4. What did you gain?

5. Now what are your thoughts about the future and how it might impact you now that you have overcome all of your fears of limitations.


1. Evaluate what limitations have you placed on yourself?

We all have place limitations on ourselves, and we all have to work on ourselves to defeat them. The first approach is to conduct a thorough assessment of how it has placed limits in your life and in your personal progress. Name them, study them, and see why they are there. And why they continue to hinder your progress. Why are they still occupying space? Does it serve a purpose? What are you getting from them being there? And can they be turned into something that will bring you growth. Some limitations can be physical, mental, emotional, spiritually or biological in nature. You must accept something’s that you can’t change to be able to see the bigger picture and not allow it to hinder your life. But act as a self-awareness catalyst. Don’t ever let any limitations make you feel like you can’t progress or achieve your purpose. And don’t ever let anyone tell you that your limitations can’t be refined or maintained.


2. Explore how you overcame past limitations

What did you do in the past to overcome certain limitations and what worked or did not work? This self-awareness will allow you to conduct inner work healing and also see how much you have progressed in your life. Celebrate what progress you have already made. And also take note on what did not worked. You want to know this, as it may have been a timing issue or perhaps you may not have been ready to make the change yet. Either way they serve as experiences to learn from.


3. What did you learn from them?

This is important to know because what worked then may not work now. As situations, things, places, and people constantly evolved. Therefore, exploring a new approach or perspective is imperative towards understanding the old limitation as a new challenge. This is where thinking without a box is necessary in order to get the right results. Write down how it worked vs. now. Identify the tools you used to tackle them. How effective where they? Now write down what you will need to know now.


4. What did you gain?

What did you gain? Did you gain knowledge or expertise? Did you gain wisdom? Did you gain self-awareness? Did it make you grow? Or become a better person? How effective where the lessons? Did you notice the difference? And the fact that they were lessons and not punishments? These are all confrontational up to your face questions to incite critical thinking and self-reflection that makes you evaluate any consequences of the actions, decisions, tools or resources used and how effective where they. What did it bring you? Did it come with peace and joy? Or did it bring you tears and discomfort? If so, how can you change it around to bringing you peace and progress.


5. Now what is your thoughts about the future and how it might impact you now that you have overcome all your fears of limitations?

With all the knowledge that you have gained form this experience, what can prepare you for the future? How can you work to maintain the strength, determination and commitment to make sure that you continue to make an impact through imparting the lessons learned with others. Think of how you now can help others overcome their fears of limitations? Now let’s celebrate this discovery! Because you no longer need to think outside of the box. Because there is no box to remove from your life. Yes, you are free! From seeing the box which was there for you to gain access to your full potential and finally see yourself as the qualified person! You are stronger than you think!
